Mantra for the Cessation of Suffering
When we gain, be prepared for loss.
When we have, be prepared for no more.
When we acquire something,
Repeat this mantra:
Rising, standing, and falling.
Before having is not-having.
Before being is not-being.
Before gaining is not-gaining.
Before binding is not-binding.
Nothing binds us except our own thought.
If we know how to think, we won't suffer.
If we don't know how to think, we suffer.
No one can afflict us.
No one can destroy us.
No one can kill us.
Except our own unwholesome view.
No one can save us.
Except our own right view.
